Te huri ki kaiwhakarato kē Changing to another provider

What
The rules, regulations and fees that relate to changing your KiwiSaver scheme provider.

You can change your KiwiSaver scheme provider at any time, but you can only belong to one at a time.

To change your scheme provider, you must apply directly to the provider of the scheme you want to join. Your new provider arranges the transfer of your savings from your old scheme to the new one. After the transfer is complete, they will notify you. The process takes about 2 weeks.

Your old scheme provider may charge you a transfer fee - you will need to check this with them.

If you're no longer eligible to be a member with your current KiwiSaver scheme provider – you may have changed jobs, then you'll move to a new scheme of your choice. If your new employer has a preferred KiwiSaver scheme you may choose to join this scheme.
