We have started a pilot providing tailored assistance to construction customers to help them through the various stages of business.

Through this initiative, we are:

  • having meaningful discussions with customers about their business and how they are doing
  • offering guidance and support about tax and entitlements
  • promoting the benefits of having a tax agent or bookkeeper, and
  • providing ongoing support to customers.

We are hoping to help customers feel comfortable and empowered to reach out and feel that they can trust us to help them find solutions to issues before they become unmanageable.

Proposed activities

We are looking at two activities for this pilot. We are planning to provide tailored assistance through direct contact.

Direct emails

We are sending emails directly to our construction customers. Direct emails offer support and guidance to customers and direct them to our dedicated Tax Toolbox landing page on our website.

Outbound Calling support

We are reaching out to construction customers by phone. We are running pre-call checks prior to contacting customers so we can tailor our calls to each business' specific needs.

These customers could include clients of tax agents or bookkeepers. We recommend customers engage with their agent or bookkeeper should they need more in-depth assistance. We also discuss the benefits of having an agent or bookkeeper with those customers who are not linked with one.
