IR6 Estate or trust returns

We’re aware of an issue affecting some IR6 Estate or trust income tax returns. 

The issue affects returns that include the allocation of income to beneficiaries and have been filed through gateway services. 

Our system is processing the IR6 and treating all income and tax credits as trustee income. This changes the residual income tax figure. When the IR6B Estate or trust beneficiary details form is then processed, the figures in the return change back to the ones originally filed, apart from the residual income tax figure. 

We’re working to fix this issue. In the meantime, if you have clients affected by this, please send us a web message so that we can correct the figures.
