NZ Post will no longer verify identification for IRD number applications

From Monday 1 July 2024, NZ Post will no longer provide identity verification services for IRD number applications. 

The AA - New Zealand Automobile Association will continue to provide identity verification services with over 70 offices around the country, as well as AA mobile units delivering services to customers in more remote locations. 

IR offices also provide IRD number verification through Front of House customer service, and will continue to provide this as usual.
