From 1 July 2024, paid parental leave payments will increase for eligible employees and self-employed people from $712.17 to $754.87 per week before tax.
The minimum rate for self-employed people will increase from $227.00 to $231.50 per week. This is equal to 10 hours of work per week, at the adult minimum wage.
