We have started a digital advertising campaign on common fringe benefit tax (FBT) errors.

From now until 30 May it will focus on common errors made when paying and filing FBT.

From 31 May until 30 June, the advertising will encourage filers to check if they got their FBT calculations right, and what they can do if they think they got it wrong.

The key objectives of this campaign are to:

  • make customers aware of the most common errors
  • educate customers on what to do if they made an error
  • encourage customers to seek help from a tax agent.

Common fringe benefit tax mistakes

We will also work directly with some industries such as construction, as they have many customers registered for FBT.
