We’ve done some work looking at credit transfer requests and found we receive high volumes of web messages requesting credit transfers.
Here are some reminders that may be useful when you request credit transfers.
- We’ll transfer the credit after we’ve processed the return — we do not need a web message asking for the same transfer.
- If you file an amended return, the transfer will happen after we process the amendment.
- If the available credit is more than you asked to be transferred, we need a current bank account to refund the remaining balance to.
