The 2024 individual income tax assessment season is well underway. We issue clients’ income tax ‘More information request’ letters up until the end of July.

You or your client must review this letter, add any other income and expenses, and complete the assessment. If your client does not have an extension of time, you need to do this within 45 days from the date we issue the letter. Any tax to pay will be due on 7 February 2025.

If your client has an extension of time, you have until 31 March 2025, and any tax to pay will be due on 7 April 2025.

After the assessment is complete you'll get a finalised income tax assessment.

If your client mail is being redirected for income tax, this letter will be sent to you. Otherwise, it will go to your client. The letter and your ‘Unfiled returns report’ will show the date the letter must be completed by.
