Following your feedback, we are making changes to our callback service.
From Monday 4 March, when you request a callback, you’ll be able to leave information to help us identify who the callback is for.
When you use this option, you’ll be prompted to leave an identification (id) number, such as an extension number, or a unique identifier of your choice, which should be no longer than 9 digits.
We’ll check this information when we make the callback and give you the reference number, so you can tell who the call is for. It may be helpful to assign different id numbers to people in your office.
We looked at different options for callbacks, including leaving your name. However, transcription accuracy is not guaranteed, and we decided not to use this function until it has been improved.
