Use this form to register a voluntary agreement for domestic maintenance with us. We’ll collect the payments and pass them on.
Court orders for domestic maintenance should be sent to us straight from the courts.
Contact us if you have a maintenance order or agreement and the paying parent lives overseas.
Before you start
You need to provide:
- both people's IRD numbers, addresses and contact details
- the receiving person's bank account
- the paying (liable) person's employer information, if you know it.
For setting up payments, you'll need the:
- amount to be paid - ongoing and lump sum, if there is one
- payment frequency
- start date.

Make sure you let us know the message is for child support. Attach your completed IR962 form and any supporting documents to the message.

What happens next
By completing this form, you're asking us to collect payments of domestic maintenance for you. We'll use the start date you give in the form.
Once set up, we'll start collecting payments from the paying person and pass them on to the receiving person.
