You can file your resident and non-resident investment income return in one of 3 ways, depending on the volume of transactions you need to include in the return.

myIR

Lower volume payers of investment income can file in myIR using an online form.

This option suits payers who only file occasionally and can enter information in to the system manually. It has an upper limit of 2000 lines per filing instance.

File upload

This option suits payers with more information and increased numbers of returns. This will require information to be uploaded in myIR as a CSV file. Details of the file format are included in our file upload specification.

Gateway services

The gateway service is an interface that automatically submits a payer's information from their system to ours, without them needing to log in to our systems. It is an option for those with large data sets and leverages common industry and New Zealand standards.
