Maintain your registration to keep your tax benefits
If you are an incorporated society or registered charitable trust, you must maintain your registration with the Companies Office to keep your tax benefits.
Reregister your incorporated society to keep your IRD number
If your incorporated society was registered before 5 October 2023, you must reregister it by 5 April 2026 to keep your incorporated society status and current IRD number.
Changing your organisation type
Tell us if your not-for-profit has changed its organisation type – for example, from an incorporated society to a charitable trust. You will need a new IRD number and to reapply for any tax benefits.
