Takapuna office closure | Takapuna office closure. The Takapuna office is relocating to a new address so will be closed from 22 November 4pm to 26 November 4pm. From 27 November you can find the new office at: 74 Taharoto Road Smales Farm, One NZ Building, Takapuna.

Some services unavailable 23 - 24 November | myIR, gateway services and our self-service phone line will not be available from 3pm Saturday 23 November to 9am Sunday 24 November while we do planned system testing. This will not affect any tax entitlements or payments scheduled during this time.

Sharing economy and tax

Online marketplace operators must report to us by 7 February following the end of the calendar year, using myIR.

Format and frequency

You must report:

  • annually for each year ending 31 December
  • information shown in quarterly periods
  • on or before 7 February
  • using the OECD model rules XML Schema.

How to report

Report to us in your myIR account.

You will be able to report using either:

  • XML file upload — limited to 200MB an upload
  • Excel template – limited to 1,000 sellers an upload. Make sure you use the latest version provided in myIR.

To correct reported information, use these same methods.
