During some events we may offer extra support to families and businesses, and to farmers and growers through the income equalisation scheme. This includes large or ongoing events, such as Cyclone Gabrielle.

Unable to file or pay your tax on time
We understand you may be unable to file or pay your tax on time during an adverse or emergency event, and we have several ways to help you through this.

Individual and family support
We may be able to help with your personal tax, KiwiSaver or student loan payments. For families' payments, you’ll need to let us know if your situation has changed.

If you are a farmer or grower, have a business, or are self-employed, we can help if you are affected by an adverse or emergency event.
