Follow these steps to challenge a decision we've made about registering overseas maintenance.

Challenging overseas maintenance decisions

Before you start

Before you challenge our decision, you'll need your:

  • IRD number
  • postal address
  • contact details.

You'll also need to give us:

  • the date from the decision notice we sent you
  • the reasons for your challenge - these must fit the grounds available
  • any evidence to support your challenge.

What happens next

After we get your challenge, we'll review the reasons you've given and your evidence. We'll contact you if we need further information. We will write to you with our decision and any further options you may have.
