Inland Revenue undertook research to understand the world of Not-for-profits and Charities during 2019. The research was to understand their context, experience, and pain points with Inland Revenue, so we can explore opportunities to make improvements for both the sector and Inland Revenue.

To understand the diversity of the sector we asked people in this community to share their stories and experiences with us, we did this through interviewing 35 Not-for-profits and Charities and a survey with a further 1796. This document outlines the what we did, the importance of the sector, insights and tensions that we discovered.
