Non-parent carers can use this form to stop getting child support payments from 1 of the paying (liable) parents. This is also called waiving payments.

You can only stop collecting payments:

  • from 1 parent at a time
  • if you do not get an Unsupported Child’s Benefit (UCB) for the child they’re paying for.

If you do not want child support from either parent, you need to cancel it.

What happens next

We'll stop collecting (waive) the payments from the parent you've named in the form, starting from the date you request.

My responsibilities

You can ask us to restart payments for the same parent. If you want to stop getting your child support from both parents, you need to cancel your child support entirely.
